Diana Oktoberfest Air Rifle | Limited Edition Celebration & Performance

Diana Oktoberfest: A Classic Gallery Rifle Reimagined

The Diana Oktoberfest is a BB repeater air rifle that brings the authentic shooting tent experience into your own home . Inspired by the legendary Diana Model 30, which has entertained generations at fairs and festivals worldwide, this rifle captures the nostalgic feel of classic gallery shooting . Serious shooters and fun-seekers alike choose the Oktoberfest for its reliability, robust construction, and old-world charm. At Top Airguns, we proudly supply the Diana Oktoberfest to shooting enthusiasts across Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, and Sweden.

Design and Build Quality

The Diana Oktoberfest features a classic wooden stock with a rubber butt plate that accommodates both right and left-handed shooters . The metalwork features authentic bluing, providing a look and feel of quality that is rare in modern BB guns . Weighing approximately 3,480 grams (7.6 lbs) and measuring 112cm in overall length, the rifle feels solid and substantial in the hands . This weight translates into a pleasant, old-time shooting experience with minimal recoil. The Diana Luftgewehr Oktoberfest is built for enjoyment.

Features and Performance

The Oktoberfest operates on a spring-piston action with an authentic cocking mechanism that mimics the classic gallery rifles . It feeds from a large 100 to 120-shot tubular magazine, allowing for extended shooting sessions without frequent reloading . The magazine is filled using a beautifully turned aluminium funnel for easy loading . The 4.4mm (.173) caliber rifled barrel delivers improved accuracy over traditional smoothbores . For best results, use Diana Oktoberfest BBs or other quality 4.4mm round balls.

Sights and Customisation

The rifle features fixed open sights with an adjustable rear V-notch and a fine front barleycorn sight . The sights are authentic to the gallery shooting tradition and are well-made . However, older shooters have found the fine open sights challenging to use, with the rear sight easily blending into the cocking mechanism . Fortunately, the rear sight can be removed by loosening one screw, revealing a short but usable 11mm dovetail rail suitable for mounting a red dot sight . The Diana Oktoberfest tuning potential is popular among enthusiasts.

Practical Considerations

The Oktoberfest must be held upright to cock and load correctly, a feature emphasised in the instruction manual . This technique becomes natural after a few shots. Users have reported consistent shot-to-shot velocity with a standard deviation as low as 3.13 FPS, which is comparable to much more expensive PCP rifles . The rifle is quiet in operation, with the internal mechanism making more noise than the shot itself . Accuracy is described as “plenty good to hit steel targets and tin cans” at 10 metres, making it ideal for its intended purpose of backyard and gallery-style fun .

Ideal Uses and Final Verdict

Backyard plinkers choose this rifle for nostalgic gallery-style fun and informal target practice. Collectors and Diana enthusiasts value its connection to the legendary Model 30 heritage. Additionally, recreational shooters enjoy its authentic feel, large magazine capacity, and quiet operation. The Diana Oktoberfest is the perfect choice for shooters who want to bring the fun of the fair home with a robust, old-school rifle that captures the spirit of a bygone era.
